{sweet things} september

I can't believe that September is over already. Here's a look at the seven things I was loving this month. Onward to fall!

1) Very Fond of Food: The recipes, photographs and prose in this cookbook by Sophie Dahl are all delicious. I want to read it like a novel and then cook everything at least twice. It's been a long time since I've been this obsessed with a cookbook.

2) Orange Jeans: I bought a pair of orange Sanctuary jeans on a whim while shopping at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago, and it turns out they're the best purchase I made all month.  The best part? They were only $19.99. I couldn't find the exact pair online, but they are similar to those pictured above.

3) Lancome Visionnaire: I know I've been a little skin product obsessed lately, but I mean it when I tell you that this stuff is good. It's my entire anti-aging regime, and one of the only products I will run out to repurchase as soon as I'm running low.

4) Elephant Bookends: I arrived home the other night to find a box from Amazon at my door a pair of amazingly adorable elephant bookends inside. A gift from my good friend Julia, they are a perfect addition to my new(ish) apartment.

5) Soludos Shoes: These shoes were the MVP of my trip to Greece. Easy to slip on and off in the airport and comfortable enough to trek around in all day, I want a pair in every color.

6) Target Sheepskin Rug: This rug is a cozy addition to my bedroom, and will provide a much needed respite from my cold wooden floors once winter takes hold. Hopefully it will make getting out of bed in the mornings just a little bit easier to take.

7) Wild by Cheryl Strayed: I read this memoir, written by a woman who hiked the Pacific Coast Trail all alone, during my solo trip in Greece, and Cheryl's amazing, engrossing tale made my adventure seem like a walk in the park.
