As promised, here are some snapshots from the Minnesota State Fair. We cooed at baby animals, watched busts being carved of butter, attended a lumberjack show, and ate more fried foods than I ever thought possible (many of them on a stick). I also asserted my skee ball dominance, winning a stuffed animal at the midway. In other words, it was the perfect day.

Sounds like great fun! Reminds me of Toronto's Canadian National Exhibition (the CNE). Fried foods galore, including fried mars bars and even fried cola.
Love your pictures, particularly the swings.
Reading this post and looking at you pictures makes me happy and sad at the same time! I live in NE now for work and wasn't able to come back to the fair this year, but it's my absolute favorite event of the year! Sounds like you had a wonderful time!
I could smell the air in your photos. All things fried and dipped.. That sweet photo of the little lamb sleeping was just too sweet.
Serenity: Fried foods galore indeed. I've never tried fried cola though!
Jess: The fair is the best! I try to get back every year
Ellen: Thanks! I told my family I want a baby lamb for my birthday...
Are you originally from MN? I love going to the MN state fair!! I missed it this year, especially all the yummy food!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've really enjoyed looking through yours! :)
Hi Sabrina,
Yes I grew up in Hopkins, but went to DC for college and have been on the East Coast ever since. Love going back several times a year though (especially in the summer!)
