Having grown up in Minnesota, I'm no stranger to a big winter storm. I'm familiar with the anticipation that often begins to boarder on hysteria, the knee high drifts, the buried cars...and I'm certainly familiar with cold weather comfort food. So when reports started coming in last weekend that we were in for a blizzard here in New York City, I knew just what to choose for last weeks' Tuesdays with Dorie recipe, which was a rewind week. Sweet, fluffy homemade marshmallows. Perfect for dropping into a steaming mug of hot chocolate and enjoying while cozied up on the couch with some fuzzy slippers and season one of Friday Night Lights (or at least, that's how I like to spend my snow days). Whether it's snowing where you are or not, these marshmallows make the cold weather a little easier to swallow. They were originally chosen by Judy back in April of 2008, and the recipe is available on her blog.
