farmers market report

One of the very best things about late summer is the myriad of produce available at the farmer's market. Here is a peak at some of what I saw today.

And here is a look at the light summer lunch I made with some of my haul. When the tomatoes are this good, they don't need much embellishment. Just some fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil and salt. Here's to savoring the season. Enjoy your weekend.

Oh, to live near a farmers market. We grow lovely fruits and vegetables in Arizona, but August is way too hot to casually stroll a farmers market here.

Wonderful pictures, and the tomato salad looks delicious. I love farmers markets and am lucky to have one close by, there is something wonderful about all that fresh food around you.
