{twd} sweet cream biscuits

It seems only fitting that I happen to be in the South the week that Tuesday with Dorie is making Sweet Cream Biscuits. Okay fine, I'm actually in North Carolina, but that's a lot more Southern than New York City.

Which may be the reason that for the first time in the history of...well, ever, I have successfully made a light and airy biscuit. They may not be flaky, but they're much closer than the hockey pucks I ended up with on both of my attempts at biscuit making up North.

The secret? An uber light touch, and apparently, some Southern magic. Which I'll be enjoying for another day or two. I'll be back in New York later this week. And hopefully I'll be bringing my biscuit making skills with me.

This week's recipe was chosen by Melissa of Love at First Bite. You can find the recipe on her blog. You can also check out the Tuesdays With Dorie blogroll to see many more versions of these Sweet Cream Biscuits.

Great biscuits there! That's too funny, I wonder if it is just being in the right place for baking? ;)

Yay- congrats on your biscuit success...they look perfect!! I've always sucked at biscuit making, so was thrilled at how this recipe worked for everyone, myself included. :)

I love that close-up photo of your perfect biscuit! So North Carolina isn't south? I'm a bit confused, but you're definitely south of Canada!
