"We have an important decision to make," I said to my friend Colleen, opening Baking From My Home to Yours to this week's Tuesdays with Dorie selection. "We could either add chocolate chips to the banana cake and have it for dessert, or leave them out and have it for breakfast." Colleen's reply? "Why can't we do both?" And that, dear readers, is why Colleen and I are such good friends. Chocolate for breakfast? Why not indeed! Well, as it turns out, there was one reason--we were out of chocolate chips. But no matter, because this cake was amazing just as it is. And, if you must know, we ate it for both dessert and for breakfast.
