It's been a while, I know, and there's really no excuse. But those finals I was in denial about? Well I finally had to face them. And after that, there were graduation festivities to attend and glasses of champagne to drink. There was also the small matter of packing up all of my worldly possessions and moving them across the city in what I think may have been the furthest intra-Manhattan move ever on record. This last task, while wildly exciting, also required something that I have been dreading for months now: the dividing up of the kitchen tools. Julia and I lived together for so long that it was hard to remember which of us brought most of our kitchen wares to the mix. However, there was one gadget in particular whose ownership was never in doubt, and try as I might, I couldn't seem to convince her that it was actually my red KitchenAid mixer we had been using for the past three years. She finally managed to pry my hands off of it long enough to pack it away and off it went. It was a sad day to say the least.

Moving can be a terror, but then you get to put all your stuff right where you want it - eventually. Hang in.
Tart looks tasty.
Congratulations on your graduation and your big move (moving is such a hassle!)!
Your mini-tarts look great and those lemons - soo juicy! I love lemon desserts!
Congratulations! Graduating and moving are both BIG events in life.... best of luck!
But... oh....sad about the KitchenAid! hehe
The tartlets look great, moving to an electric oven didn't slow you down!
