Remember the cake that almost sent me into a 12 step program for chocoholics? Well I think I just had a relapse. But these Caramel Crunch Bars were totally worth it. The base is a cinnamon and espresso flavored shortbread studded with milk chocolate, which gets topped with more milk chocolate and sprinkled with toffee pieces (Does it surprise you that I went for chocolate covered toffee pieces? No? Good we're really getting to know each other here).
Thankfully, I made these for an Oscar viewing party, so there was no need to throw the leftovers in the trash. Which is a good thing, because I don't think I could have brought myself to do it this time. In fact, I'm fairly sure I could have eaten the entire batch myself. Hey, the first step is admitting you have a problem, right?

OMG, yes. These bars were too good. Your crunch bars look wonderful.
Yes, the first step is admitting the problem. But the thing is my problem is that I can never move beyond the first step. A nasty truth but there you have it!
I liked these, too!
haha, i totally don't admit i have a problem. in fact, i say "yeah, i'm not a big sweets person". YEAH RIGHT! :)
your bars look really good.
I made these for an Oscar party as well! Yours look delicious.
Is there a 12 step program for chocoholics? Then I'll have to sign up immediately.
Hahah these bars really were fantastic! I ate them while watching the Oscars too, hoping that looking at all of the twiggy actresses would keep me from eating too many. It almost worked. Almost!
