Here's the bad news folks--Gwyneth regains her pre-holiday figure with a diet free of dairy, gluten, alcohol (gasp) caffeine, sugar (double gasp) and meat. I'm estimating I'd last about two hours. Here's the good news--a couple of the detox recipes actually looked...good. So good that I decided to try one out yesterday...as a part of my otherwise sugar and gluten laden diet, of course. Surprisingly, it was delicious. Similar to the carrot ginger dressings you find in Asian restaurants, but brighter and tangier. Gwyneth recommends that this dressing be served over a salad of baby gem lettuce, red onion, and avocado. I also added carrots and cucumber. You can find more recipes from Gwyneth Paltrow on her website.
Carrot Ginger Dressing
Recipe by Dr. Alejandro Junger available at Goop.com
Recipe Note: I thought that the shallot flavor was a little overwhelming. Next time I will use 1/2 a shallot.

Sounds refreshing after all the holiday eating! Off to read Gwyneth's site! :)
if only we can have Gwyneth's trainer, nutritionist, and personal chef on speed dial,,,{sigh}. This dressing sounds delicious!
I really like Gwyneth (especially her new haircut) and you have to admire how hard she works at her health! This sounds delicious, but thanks for the heads up on the shallots. Too much is never a good thing.
